I was arranging things last night trying to make sure where everything will fit. So that's the reason for the box laying flat, which represents my cutting table. And that is where my sewing desk will be (top left). It was my Mom's sewing table so needs to be in here. I will be working on that tomorrow I hope so more on that then.
Even managed to get those terrible boards out of the closet (my future photo studio). They were nailed in with HUGE nails that were almost the size of 16 penny nails. Well.... actually just a bit smaller. BUT still HUGE. One side had 10 nails the other only had 4. So for any of you home DIYers out there..... There is such a thing as over-kill. LOL
So here is one of the projects that I started before posting the process. This is a step-ladder from the 50's or 60's. My Mom had found it years ago at a yard sale and then repainted it that mauve color and recovered the seat and back. Those colors won't work in my sewing room. So took the whole thing apart, cleaned it up and spray painted it white. The seat and back I recovered in a stripe fabric if found online at Frabric.com. It's a great source for us fabricholics.
Anyway, this I plan to finish today. So will have the finished product in tomorrow's post. (I hope)
Mom had this glass box at her house and later here in her room. She had old letters and trinkets in it. Those things have been gone through and so I had the perfect plan for it in my sewing room!
Have to give credit where credit is due. I got the idea for this online at a site called Everything Etsy.
