I haven't posted in a couple of days due to the weekend. That doesn't mean that I haven't been busy. Still in the demo and repair stage of the room. It's the boring stuff I know. But is also rewarding in it's own right. Didn't know how wonderful it would be to see things gone until the moment they were!
Perfect example..... That ceiling fan! When we moved into this house there were ceiling fans everywhere. In the living room and dining area alone there were three. And they weren't where the lights were either. They were stuck off in corners by themselves and didn't make sense. I have always hated these fans and wanted them down. This one was one of the last ones to come down. And it's down!! YEAH!!!! Only one more in Hannah's room to go.
All that's left is to patch that hole in the ceiling and paint it.
Let me set the record straight. It's not that I hate ceiling fans. Just the ones that are placed in weird spots and don't belong. When we first got here the ceiling was littered with lights, track lights, fans, speakers and the occasional wire.
The other thing that I was SOOOO glad to see gone was the carpet. We put it in the entire house 17 years ago and haven't had the means to replace it since. That is until now!!! After seeing what's under it I will NEVER go back to carpet. It will be wood flooring throughout from now one.
Had Sam's help with the electrical and pulling up carpet. (I'm a bit afraid of his box cutter LOL) So now all that's left for me to do this week is pull up tack strips and all those staples. Then sweep and mop. Think I will mop at least twice. LOL
Soon it will start looking like a sewing room, I promise.
