But the comfort zone is only going to get more uncomfortable. I am doing a sew along with Colette Patterns for myself and my daughter. While this sew along has nothing to do with dolls or sewing for them, it does give me a chance to sew for myself and maybe learn a technique or two that I can later pass on in my designs and patterns.
My daughter gave me the idea of letting all of you see the finished project, and that got me to thinking..... When I did the posts about my sewing room I really had to step out of my comfort zone and talk about what it took to do that room. Stretching myself like that really helped me with the loss of my mom and helped me in ways I never dreamed possible. So I'm doing it again. As I'm sure you can see in the picture I'm overweight. Some of it is genetics as my dad's side of the family are all large. But honestly, most of it is years of an addiction to food. I started a program that my hubby did. He lost 35 pounds doing it and is still maintaining. It's a free app call My Fitness Pal and is basically just a calorie counter. So far I've lost 13 pounds and still losing. It's not fast and it's not easy but it works.
So here are my thoughts. When I blogged and talked about remodeling my sewing room I was motivated to keep at it and get it done. Seems to me that the same is true of losing weight. So I going to talk about sewing while taking pictures of me wearing what I've sewn for myself. In the process I should see the change in my weight as time goes on. Yes, I know this post really has nothing to do with doll clothes. But it is important to me and hope that you will forgive the occasional post. Just for kicks... This is my family!! Sam, Jesse and Hannah. Love these guys and love showing them off.
Until next time when I will be showing off something on a doll!!
