Gene Marshall 1894 Day Dress PDF Pattern
Your Gene Marshall will take a step back in time with this lovely dress. The dress days 1894 and was worn by an upper class woman during the day at home. The bodice is separate from the skirt, as was the custom for this style. It has huge leg-of-mutton sleeves and inverted pleats at the waist. Lace cascades off the shoulder and is "tied" in front with a contrasting bow. More lace fills the inset and also creates a bow. For the skirt there are two layers. The top layer is split on one side with lace trimming the edge. Two bows accent this trim. A contrasting underskirt peeks out form the split on the side. You will have a ton of fun sewing this one up for your doll.
